Earthship for sale in Normandy France.  Situated in a tranquil part of rural France just over an hour's drive from the ports of Caen and St Malo to Portsmouth on a plot of 1200 sq m.

The earthship was constructed by Kevan and Gillian Trott with the help of Mike Reynolds, the visionary architect who designed it, his US crew and volunteers.  Local businesses were used whenever possible for supplying materials etc. 

 

It has 3 spacious bedrooms, bathroom, utility room and open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area.  The bedroom floors are solid oak with a granite floor along the greenhouse corridor and living area.  Adobe covers the walls and there are hand made recycled glass tiles on the kitchen wall.  

 

The grey water planter contains 4 banana plants, aloe vera, lemon and orange trees as well as a grapevine.  Outside there is the beginning of a forest garden with small fruit and nut trees planted, willow, oak and holly.  It is completely off-grid apart from a phone line which also provides internet access.  All the water and power is provided on site.
